Senior Legal Operations Associate (Temporary)

We are seeking a results-oriented and highly skilled Temporary Full-time Senior Legal Operations Associate to manage a critical, high-impact project within the legal department. This role involves overseeing project execution, optimizing processes, and driving efficiency under the direction of a Legal Operations Manager. Strong project management skills are essential; a PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred. This role is ideal for professionals ready to take on substantial responsibility and contribute to the success of a significant initiative.

Employment Type: Temporary Full-time with potential to transition to Permanent Full-time employee.

Duration: 6 to 12 Months.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of a designated legal project, managing all phases from initiation to completion under the direction of the Legal Operations Manager.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and deliverables, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify project needs, track progress, and resolve issues.
  • Oversee contract lifecycle processes specific to the project, including drafting, review, negotiation, and execution, leveraging tools like Ironclad.
  • Analyze project-related data and generate reports to evaluate performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
  • Implement and maintain processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency within the project.
  • Facilitate communication between the legal department and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members involved in the project, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; certification in business, legal studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in legal operations, project management, or a related role, with demonstrated success in managing complex projects.
  • Proficiency with legal technology platforms, including contract management systems and project management tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with experience in interpreting data and presenting actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams and levels of an organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of legal department operations, with expertise in project management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in tools like Ironclad, SharePoint, and project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Skilled in data analysis, metrics development, and performance tracking to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful, committed to driving operational excellence.

Salary Range: $ 75,000 to $ 85,000

The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and education. The range listed is just one component of AHP’s total employee compensation package.
