Manager, Account Success Team

Advocates for Human Potential, Inc., (AHP) is looking for a Manager, Account Success Team (MAST) for the Administrative Services Team. The MAST of the Administrative Services Entity (ASE) at AHP will be pivotal in ushering in integrity-based stewardship of disbursement of funds for projects structured to serve the needs of our Client’s States and leading a team of Account Success Managers who provide support to sponsors receiving grant funding. We are providing first class service by building an innovative team and seek a leader with subject matter expertise, project implementation experience, and management experience in Administrative Services, third party administration, and/or legal and compliance.

The MAST will work as a member of AHP’s Administrative Service team to develop and build out services, tools, workforce capacity, contract management, risk mitigation, compliance, audit, and other components that are instrumental for success in answering the call that states have put forth.

This role will work with internal and external team members and other stakeholders to effectively manage the work and provide services. They will also serve as a subject matter expert and leader in the development and build out of the ASE, training programs and resources as its related to the behavioral health work.

Responsibilities

The MAST will

  • Maintain a small caseload of complex or hi-risk sponsors
  • Facilitate communication of client needs and work to broker solutions, while actively managing work
  • Train and mentor account success managers creating evaluating and enhancing onboarding process
  • Oversee the ASM team within the administrative services department
  • Resolve issues and identify areas of opportunity and process improvement
  • Work closely with state and local governments, nonprofit agencies, tribal entities, and private sector organizations that will partner with AHP on initiatives; and
  • Assist the Deputy Director of the ASE to
    • Create and implement monitoring tools and dashboards,
    • Create reports for internal and external audiences,
    • Develop tools and templates to improve efficiencies, and
    • Establish guidance, timelines, and communication protocols for all aspects of the work
    • Collaborate with legal, compliance, real estate and finance to ensure proper performance and that contractual obligations and duties are met

The MAST will be a key member of the ASE team, supervising staff, leading project meetings, and standing in for the Deputy Director as needed for key internal and external meetings.

Management Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of account success managers who provide pivotal support and assistance to sponsors and subrecipients of grant funding
  • Consult with leaders to assess need for additional staff, while collaborating with the Human Resources Department to recruit ASM staff
  • Work closely with the Deputy Director, AHP leadership, clients, and other stakeholders to set and secure the strategic direction, goals, and objectives of the projects
  • Lead and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems to enable the team to implement new approaches and programs that will develop, expand, and strengthen the account success management team
  • Plan and develop an organizational approach to account success management
  • Sr ASM may oversee other teams in addition to ASM, on a temporary or as needed basis
  • Manage workplans, deliverables, and staffing
  • Monitor staff performance, develop key performance indicators setting achievable targets for team members
  • Attend to personnel matters of the ASM team
  • Be responsible for helping to evaluate and interview prospective candidates and participating in the selection process
  • Lead completion of tasks, including providing content expertise, problem solving, creating standard operating procedures, monitoring, and evaluating project performance, and conducting quality control
  • Manage team members, subcontractors, and consultants, including creation of statements of work
  • Foster collaboration and coordination between teams within AHP as well as external clients, partners, and vendors
  • Complete project deliverables
    • Develop written materials (e.g., reports, presentation slides, guidebooks, and planning documents)
    • Establish outcome measures and strategies to evaluate success and report accomplishments
    • Compile, summarize, and analyze data
  • Carry out meeting, training, and technical assistance activities
  • Plan meeting agendas, prepare supporting materials, and facilitate meetings
  • Prepare formal notes of external meetings, clarifying commitments and follow-up action
  • Develop training materials and manuals
  • Deliver online and onsite training and education (e.g., host/moderate webinars, serve as a subject matter expert)

Qualifications, Education and Training

  • Candidates for this position should possess a master’s degree in business, finance, marketing, communication, or a related field or have significant equivalent work experience
  • Ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of progressive supervisory and management experience in a customer service/account management role
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft suite of tools and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication skills and experience interacting effectively with c-suite level individuals as well as hi-level local governmental officials is a must
  • Ideal candidate should possess additional training and experience in Project Management (PMP preferred), Six Sigma, process improvement, etc. or possess comparable education and training
  • Experience in behavioral health prevention with effective workforce development strategies or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Experience in legal, lending, or real estate/construction industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with current efforts to expand and transform BH care

Salary Range: $115,000- $135,000

To be transparent with applicants about salary and in compliance with various state pay disclosure requirements, AHP publishes the following information which is current as of the date of posting. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on a range of factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. The range listed is just one component of AHP’s total compensation package for employees.
