Advocates for Human Potential, (AHP), is seeking a Senior Consultant II – 988 and Mobile Crisis Services for the Center for Training and Technical Assistance (CTTAC) to develop and deliver AHP’s expanded consulting work on crisis services, particularly 988 Suicide & Lifeline crisis centers and mobile crisis services in California.
AHP is the Administrative Entity and technical assistance provider for a number of California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) programs including the California 988 Crisis Center Network, which includes contracting and support for 988 crisis center services and the Medi-Cal Mobile Crisis TA Center (M-TAC). AHP seeks an individual with the commitment, necessary knowledge and skills to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for our current programs, delivering TA, ensuring program deliverables meet high quality standards, and utilizing strategic thinking to expand our work to other states and communities.
The successful candidate will have leadership and senior management experience in designing, developing and implementing initiatives focused on expansion of crisis centers and mobile crisis services. The Senior Consultant II will support existing projects, including delivery of technical assistance, content development, report writing, and provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise to expand and strengthen AHP’s national, state and community responses. A significant portion of the work is in California, thus an individual in the Pacific Time zone is preferred.
About the Position
This is a remote position in California. However, the position will require periodic travel to AHP's Pasadena or other offices for meetings and trainings and may include some additional travel.

Education and Professional Experience
We are seeking candidates with at least ten years of progressively more responsible experience which includes managing complex processes and procedures, managing grants or contracts, and leading project teams. Experience must include significant work in the area of crisis center and mobile crisis service design, implementation and evaluation.
We are seeking candidates with a master’s degree and 10 or more years of complex experience with oversight, evaluation, or program management. Five years of work experience can be substituted for a master’s degree but master’s degree preferred.

Work Hours and Expectations:
This is a full-time, exempt position. As such, the role is not eligible for overtime compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). While the standard workweek is 40 hours, exempt employees are expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. This may include occasional evenings or extended hours during periods of high activity, critical deadlines, or special projects. Flexibility, accountability, and a results-oriented mindset are essential to success in this role.
Location
All work must be performed within the United States or its territories. Employees are required to reside in, and carry out their job responsibilities from, a location within the U.S. or a U.S. territory for the duration of their employment. Limited exceptions may be granted for short-term personal or business travel outside of these areas, subject to prior written approval and in compliance with company policy.
Salary: $125,000-$140,000
AHP, in an effort to be transparent with applicants about salary and in compliance with various state pay disclosure requirements, publishes the following information, which is current as of the date of posting. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the AHP salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be high or low in the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and education. The range listed is just one component of AHP’s total compensation package for employees.

Work Authorization Requirement
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. AHP is currently unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position is primarily sedentary and requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while operating a computer and other standard office equipment. The role involves frequent communication via video conferencing, email, and other digital platforms. As such, employees must have access to a reliable and secure internet connection that supports remote work responsibilities, including video meetings and the use of cloud-based systems.
